17-year-old Eva Noblezada was performing the song “With You" when casting director Tara Rubin spotted the budding star.
She was immediately invited to audition for the role of 'Kim' in London's West End revival of "Miss Saigon." She was hired on the spot.
“It took me a while for the information to sink and for me to step into reality because it was happening so fast,” she said.
Now she is off to London, tomorrow morning to perform four shows a week for at least a year. She enjoyed a sendoff fit for a royal: complete with food, speeches from her teachers, and most importantly, a rendition of “As Long as You’re Mine,” from Wicked by Eva and her friend Phillip Johnson.
Eva is a senior at Northwest School of the Arts and will continue her studies when she is not performing. The production will open in London on May 3, 2014. It will be the 25th anniversary of the production.
