Clemson Tops Ohio State in Orange Bowl; Boyd, Watkins Set Records

Miami, FL - Tajh Boyd threw for 378 yards, and five touchdowns, while running for 127 yards and another score, as the Clemson Tigers beat the Ohio State Buckeyes, 40-35 Friday night in the Discover Orange Bowl.

Boyd's 497 combined yards set an Orange Bowl record. Meanwhile Clemson wide receiver Sammy Watkins set an Orange Bowl record of his own, finishing with 227 receiving yards on 16 catches.

Boyd's 5-yard pass to Stanton Seckinger with 6:16 remaining put the Tigers (11-2) ahead for good.

Watkins caught two touchdown passes, in addition to his record-setting night.

Martavis Bryant also caught two touchdown passes for the Tigers, who won their first BCS Bowl game in program history.
