Sunday’s game between the Carolina Panthers and New Orleans Saints is a big-time game with huge implications. Bank of America Stadium is sold out, and tickets are going online for as much as $2,500 per ticket. Much like last month’s Monday Night Football game against the New England Patriots, scam artists are looking to take advantage of fan interest.
The Better Business Bureau of Charlotte says fans are more likely to be scammed by fake tickets if they buy tickets on the street prior to the game.
"The best option for fans who are looking for tickets is to buy them from a reputable online ticket broker that has a money-back guarantee," said BBB President Tom Bartholomy.
The BBB recommends sites like StubHub, TicketsNow and RazorGator. It also advises those buying face-to-face to know what an actual ticket looks like, and meet the seller face-to-face in a public place.
