Two Charlotte-area schools win State Football Championships

Six local schools played for State Football Championships Friday and Saturday.  Among the local winners was Shelby High School, who defeated Southwest Onslow High School, 29-7 in the 2A State title game. Mallard Creek won their State title game, winning the 4AA State Championship, by defeating Wake Forest High School, 59-21.
