Black Friday has become synonymous with crowded stores and long lines but one local business owner has managed to take the pain out of deal searching with her store on wheels.
Meka Herrall, owner of Pink Culture Inc. Mobile Boutique said she will come to customers and she is changing the Black Friday to Pink Friday with her pink truck used to house a mobile boutique.
“I'm an advocate for shopping local”, said Herrall. “People love sales, they love the rush of finding perfect bargains, and we want to give them another option for unique finds.”
Herrall said she will join big box stores with Black Friday deals this year. She has plans to open in Charlotte or Raleigh depending on customer demand.
“There is a high demand in Charlotte and Raleigh, so we are working on the exact place.” said Herrall. “The perfect place would be Uptown or North Lake or the South Park [malls] parking lots.”
Herrall sells women’s clothing but plans to add men’s clothing and accessories to her inventory. She said on Black Friday most merchandise will be marked down up to 30 percent off.
