    (WJZY) - A body was found while deputies searched for a missing jogger in the Lake Park area of Union County on Monday. Earlier that day, the family of James Martin Hudspeth reported him missing. The family said he went jogging and did not return home. At 5 p.m. that evening the Union County Sheriff Department discovered Hudspeth’s body behind a nearby church.

A year is a long time in football, and ten years might as well be an eternity. It’s been almost ten years since the Carolina Panthers met the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl XXXVIII, and a lot has changed. The Panthers have gone through a coaching change, shuffled quarterbacks and an extend playoff drought since then.

The Panthers went 11-5 that season, winning three-straight playoff games before facing off against the Patriots in Houston for Super Bowl.

Though most remember that game for the infamous halftime “clothing malfunction” incident involving Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake, it was perhaps one of the more compelling Super Bowls in recent memory. The Panthers went on to lose that game 32-29 when Adam Vinatari nailed a 41-yard field goal with four seconds remaining.

The only players that remain from that team: tackle Jordan Gross and receiver Steve Smith.

Gross was a rookie that season, fresh out of Utah. He was a part of a Panthers offensive line that paved the way for running back Stephen Davis rush for over 1,400 yards and protected quarterback Jake Delhomme.

When asked about that game this week, Gross didn’t put too much thought into it.

“It’s so long ago now,” he said. “Almost everyone on the team doesn’t remember that any more than they remember any other Super Bowl.”

After being prodded, Gross did admit playing in the Super Bowl was a watermark for his career.

"That (Super Bowl) was the biggest game I've ever played in," Gross said. "I don't think there's any type of a payback or anything ten seasons later, but that's a game that sticks out in my mind and one I'll remember for a long time.”
