Grand jury indicts McNair shooting suspect

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. -

A grand jury has indicted the man police say walked into DeKalb County elementary school with an automatic rifle back in August.

FOX 5 News has learned that Michael Brandon Hill was indicted on 13 counts by the DeKalb County Grand Jury for the incident at Ronald E. McNair Discovery Learning Academy Elementary School. Those counts include Aggravated Assault, Burglary, Terroristic Threats and Carrying a Weapon within Certain School Areas.

Police say he fired multiple gunshots with an AK-47 at the school before walking in to the main office and sitting down.

The terroristic act triggered an immediate evacuation of the estimated 800 students and 70 faculty and staff to the rear of the school.

Police say they eventually arrested Hill without incident. There were no injuries.

Hill's older brother says his brother was has had a troubled past.
