ATLANTA -

The 18-month-old girl who was the subject of an early Friday morning Levi's Call has been found safe.

According to an Atlanta Police Department spokesperson, 18-month-old Guadalupe Aguayo was located near the Downtown Connector and Interstate 20 with 26-year-old Claudia Denice Rodriguez just before 7 a.m. Friday.

Police say they spotted the vehicle leaving a gas station in the 1900 block of Pryor Road. The vehicle took off, but police were able to radio ahead to units. Police eventually were able to pull the vehicle over on the interstate without further incident. They found the young girl sitting on the lap of a passenger without restraints.

On Thursday, Guadalupe's father, Ramon Aguayo, says he left his daughter in the care of Rodriguez, who is his roommate's girlfriend. He says Rodriguez contacted him by phone around 3 p.m. to ask about medication for the toddler.

That was the last time he heard from Rodriguez. When he arrived back to the house in the 3000 block of Forrest Park Drive in southeast Atlanta around 6:30 p.m. Thursday, he found both the toddler and Rodriguez were missing, along with his red 1996 Ford Ranger.

Just before midnight, after attempts to reach her by phone and a search of the area, he called police, who then issued the alert.

Ramon Aguayo tells FOX 5 News that this was the first time he left his daughter in Rodriguez's care. He was unsure if she would intentionally injure his daughter.

FOX 5 News broke the news to Ramon Aguayo just shortly after police found his daughter. He says he was overjoyed by the news.

Rodriguez faces charges including interference with custody, kidnapping, and driving with a suspended license. She was booked into the Fulton County Jail.  A motive behind the incident has not yet been released.

Guadalupe Aguayo was taken to Children's Health Care of Atlanta at Hughes Spalding to be checked for any possible injuries.
