Durham, NC -- Jabari Parker is all that he's advertised to be. And, perhaps, then some.
The freshman forward scored 22 points on 8-10 shooting, pulled down 6 rebounds, dished out 2 assists, blocked a shot, even nailed a trio of three-pointers, as the Duke Blue Devils opened their 2013-14 season with a 111-77 white-washing of the Davidson Wildcats.
Davidson was led by De'Mon Brooks' 24 points. He also had a nice shooting night, hitting on 7 of 9 attempts from the field.
But while Parker was one of four Blue Devils to score 20 points or more, Brooks was the lone Wildcat to sniff anything north of the teens.
The 4th-ranked Blue Devils start the season 1-0. They face #5 Kansas is a heavyweight clash on Tuesday night in Chicago.
The Wildcats start 0-1, and play their home opener on Monday night against Milwaukee.
