DETROIT (WJBK) -

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has arrested a person of interest in the shooting that took place on Wednesday at Al's Barber Shop in Detroit.

According to an affidavit obtained by Fox 2, Larry O'Neil Walker is under arrest for felonious assault following his actions with an FBI agent the night of the shooting.

Three people were killed and six more injured after dozens of shots were fired inside the barber shop located on Seven Mile Rd.

Following the shooting, members of the FBI's Violent Crime Task force had enough information to lead them to believe that a person of interest in the shooting was located in Rochester Hills.

Around 9:45 p.m., agents began surveillance in the area of Rochester Hills.  They observed two separate passenger vehicles driving in the area of Avon and Rochester roads.

The vehicles stopped briefly at several locations, including gas stations and closed restaurants, without leaving their cars.  The vehicles were believed to be occupied by female associates of Larry Walker.

By 12:20 a.m. they lost sight of one of the vehicles. They observed the second one near Lynhaven Court in Rochester Hills.

One agent was parked in an unmarked vehicle at an Outback Steakhouse at 1880 Rochester Road. He observed, as a blue Chrysler minivan approached his vehicle.  The agent attempted to exit the parking lot at which time the driver of the van attempted to block his path.

The driver of the van then drove his vehicle toward the driver's side of the agent's vehicle. Fearing for his safety, the agent was able to evade contact and pulled onto Rochester Road.

The agent drove north and requested assistance. The van continued to pursue and attempt to ram the agent's car.  Eventually other agents showed up to assist.  When the agent activated his emergency blue and red flashers on the rear of his unmarked car, the van stopped.

The driver of the van (O'Neil) tried once again to ram the agent's vehicle.  Other agents had the van boxed in, but O'Neil tried to ram them as well.

Finally the agent got out of his vehicle, flashed his badge and ordered the O'Neil to place his hands in the air.   The FBI says O'Neil said, "I don't f***king care if you are the police, no one chases my mamma."

Finally the agent was able to gain control of O'Neil. O'Neil was wearing a bullet proof vest at the time.

He is in custody and faces charges of felonious assault for using his vehicle as a dangerous weapon and resisting arrest.

More to come on this developing story.
