Charlotte -- Four straight. The Carolina Panthers have won four straight games, after a 34-10 win over the Atlanta Falcons, Sunday.
The Panthers defense was in complete control during the second half. Their domination of Matt Ryan and the Falcons led to that fourth consecutive win.
Carolina picked Ryan off on three occasions, including an interception returned for a touchdown by Drayton Florence.
Cam Newton threw for a touchdown and ran for a touchdown, and Mike Tolbert ran for a score of his own, as Carolina pulled away in the second half.
With the win, the Panthers improve to 5-3 on the season. Meanwhile, the Falcons fall to 2-6. The Panthers are now just a game back of the New Orleans Saints in the NFC South, after the Saints loss to the New York Jets, Sunday.
Up next, the Panthers have a few very difficult games. First, Carolina travels to face the 6-2 San Francisco 49ers on November 10th. Then, 8 days later, it's a Monday night tilt against the New England Patriots.
Many have questioned the legitimacy of the Panthers win streak, due to the wins coming against lesser opponents. But these next two games will provide ample opportunity to prove their worthiness in playoff discussions.
