Charlotte -- Multiple times, the Cleveland Cavaliers made a comeback. And each time, the Charlotte Bobcats squelched the run. More often than not, it was Kemba Walker that authored the squelching. And none of those buckets was bigger than the one that broke an 84-84 tie, with less than an minute to play.
Walker scored 23 points, including that tie-breaking three pointer, as the Bobcats defeated the Cavs, 90-84 Friday night. Walker added 7 assists and 4 rebounds to round out an impressive box score.
Bismack Biyombo netted his first double-double of the season, with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist added 15 slashing points, and Gerald Henderson rounded out four Bobcats in double-figures, with 10 points.
CJ Miles led the Cavs in scoring, with 22. Tristan Thompson had 21, and Kyrie Irving had 16 points to go along with 7 assists. Jarrett Jack was the Cavs fourth and final player in double-figures, with 15.
Charlotte improves to 1-1 on the year. The Cavs fall to 1-1. Charlotte is next in action Saturday night, against the Pelicans at 8 p.m.
The Cavs led 3-2, then never led again.
