DEARBORN, Mich. (WJBK) -

It has been almost 48 hours and there is still no sign of 20-year-old Brenna Machus. She was abducted from a Family Dollar store in Dearborn between 8 and 9 p.m. Monday night.

Her co-worker, Joseph Orlando, hired only five days before, was shot and killed.

"Joe was a typical teenager. He got his life together. He got the job on Thursday at Family Dollar. He was so happy," said Alan Conkel at a Crime Stoppers news conference Wednesday afternoon.

Orlando's grandfather then broke down and walked away from the podium in unspeakable grief.

His grandson's body was found in the store by employees the next morning. Police say the Family Dollar had been ransacked, but will not confirm if any money was stolen.

Machus was an assistant manager with access to codes to the safe, but her father does not believe robbery was the motive.

"One guy in particular kept making threatening Facebook messages to her," says Jamie Machus. "This kid used to come in and harass her at the store, and she'd have to ask him to leave or whatever because he was stoned."

Meanwhile, her mother and best friend also spoke at the press conference.

"If there's someone out there that has her, I don't care if you drop her off at a hospital. Let us know. We will come get her no questions asked. We want her home. She needs to be home with the ones that love her," said Lisa Machus.

"Please find my best friend. She's a loving friend, a loving daughter, niece-in-law, cousin. Anybody and everybody that knows her needs her back in their life," said Jennifer Forte.

Police have been searching since Tuesday morning. Video surveillance pictures show the suspect entering the store. He seemed to be aware of cameras, hiding his face and wearing big bulky clothes.

Police have not released any pictures from outside the Family Dollar. Those pictures could reveal the getaway car and answer questions about how Machus was abducted and if anyone else was involved.

Police are looking for two customers, who were inside the store around 7:30 p.m. Monday.

"We're asking for those two women to come forward. In all likelihood, they're members of this community, and I'd rather not expend a lot of our police resources looking for them," says Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad.

Michigan State Police and the feds have also joined the search for Machus. Police are searching through her cell phone records and looking at her bank information, but still say they cannot find a motive for her abduction.

Crime Stoppers is offering $2,500 for information that leads to an arrest in Orlando's murder and around $11,000 for information that could help safely bring Machus home.
