The family said he went jogging and did not return home. At 5 p.m. that evening the Union County Sheriff Department discovered Hudspeth’s body behind a nearby church.

    What turned out to be a health issue for Dave Cole turned into the start of a family business for he and his wife Malinda. In the early ‘90s, Dave discovered he was lactose intolerant to cow's milk, and found that goat milk and cheese worked better for him. From there, the couple raised their own goats to produce milk and cheese right in their back yard. Last month, the Coles decided to share their home made goat cheese with the public, and opened Fishing Creek Creamery.

Creason has been an employee with the Iredell-Statesville Schools since April 2006.

In February, polychlorinated biphenyls, a cancerous chemical also known as PCBs, were dumped behind the Food Lion on Harris Blvd. and West Sugar Creek Road. Investigators believe a septic trunk dumped the toxic chemicals behind the store. From there investigators believed the toxins went through the sewer lines into the Mallard Creek Wastewater system.
